After extensive research, with close attention to scalability and security,
Cadre5 drafted an IdleAire hardware plan and oversaw assembly of the data center,
based on proven industry-available servers and data center equipment, and with
an eye towards next-generation advances and potential in-house development.
Cadre5 pursued rapid-fire development cycles to implement, test, and refine
the functionality of IdleAire’s software components. These core software
systems were built with nationwide scalability in mind. Reusable Java software
components saved time, development and testing dollars. Development and test
cycles were repeated across the board until the prototype system was ready
for release…on time and to spec.
On top of the Java-based, IdleAire software infrastructure, Cadre5 built and
integrated numerous applications. When truck drivers select desired services,
they access a chain-reaction of Cadre5 applications. With the integration of
a Vignette-based Web portal, drivers, along with their spouses and family,
the fleet owners, and IdleAire service reps will be able to get up-to-the-minute
information on arrivals, customer records, billing, and facility performance.
Working from a strong background in security and network management, Cadre5
developed an ultra-intelligent system, capable of accepting and billing credit
cards as well as internally processed IdleAire cash value and membership cards.
On the backend, Cadre5 designed an ultimately scalable, data model implemented
in Oracle to manage customer accounts and provide IdleAire administrators with
quick-access to customer data.
