By law, long-haul truckers must stop to rest at least 8 hours after driving 10 hours. Drivers idle their engines to maintain heat and air as well as power for in-truck TVs and other appliances. Truck idling has serious environmental and other consequences but no viable alternative existed until recently. IdleAire conceived an ingenious solution to this long-haul trucking industry problem, improving the working environment of drivers and eliminating a significant pollution and emissions source.
